Traditional Chinese Medicine

The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the generic term over the thousands of years traditional health and treatment knowledge of Chinese. The most important aspects of TCM are acupuncture, qi gong, healing herbal therapy, Tuina and dietetics. Since the TCM is not based on anatomical understanding, but to the Chinese philosophy, it lost more and more important, whereas established Western medicine. In the 50s, the TCM experienced a boom and was supplemented by different aspects, such as acupressure, moxibustion, meditation and movement techniques, chiropractic, massage and the five elements nutrition. Today, TCM is a successful addition method for scientific medicine.
