The mud bath is a balneotherapists application in which the patient goes into a tub of hot water, mixed with peat (mud), is filled. Mud binds the heat well and are only slowly to the bathers. Although the baths partially have a temperature of about 40° C, they are not perceived as too hot. The heat is stored in the body and evaporates only slowly. So it often comes to Nachschwitzen. The mud bath is mainly used for relaxation of the patient.
